Al-Ahli striker Ivan Toney has accused Saudi Pro League officials of intentionally influencing matches to favor Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr after three penalty appeals were dismissed during a 1-1 draw.
Ivan Toney launched a scathing attack on match officials following Al-Ahli’s frustrating draw with Al-Fayha, suggesting a conspiracy to aid Al-Nassr’s title bid.
The striker was left furious after two handball shouts and a push were ignored by referee Mohammed Sami Al-Ismail.
“It’s actually crazy how you can miss things like this in crucial moments or choose to turn a blind eye,” Toney posted.
Al-Ahli sits third in the standings, trailing Ronaldo’s side by four points. The club issued a formal statement demanding access to VAR communications, citing “legitimate concerns” over competitive integrity.
Toney further alleged that the referee dismissively told players to focus on the Asian Champions League instead.
“If you want me to go deeper, I can go deeper,” Toney warned. “It’s clear what’s being influenced here!”
