Liverpool supporters intensified their campaign against rising costs during Saturday’s match with Fulham, deploying banners and vocal chants to condemn Fenway Sports Group’s plan to increase prices over the next three seasons.
Liverpool fans staged a visible and vocal protest at Anfield during their Premier League fixture against Fulham.
A prominent banner on the Kop declared, “No to ticket price increases,” as supporters voiced their anger through chants directed at the club’s hierarchy.
The demonstration follows the club’s recent decision to raise ticket costs in line with inflation for the next three years, sparking a massive backlash.
Fan groups, including Spirit of Shankly and Spion Kop 1906, have warned that this is only the beginning of coordinated actions.
Supporters emphasized that rising costs are making football unaffordable for the local community. A statement from Spion Kop 1906 read,
“We feel we have been left with no other option, year on year the rising costs are pricing more fans out of football.”
