Scott Parker has left Burnley by mutual consent, eight days after their relegation from the Premier League — the club’s second drop in three seasons. The Clarets won just four of 34 league games, conceding 68 goals. Parker, who earned promotion last season, said: “I feel that now is the right time for both parties to move in a different direction.” Assistant Mike Jackson takes charge for the remaining four fixtures.
