Chelsea FC have officially appointed Xabi Alonso as manager of the men’s team.
The Spaniard will take charge at Stamford Bridge from July 1, 2026, after signing a four-year contract with the Blues.
Chelsea announced the blockbuster appointment on Friday, ending weeks of speculation over the club’s next boss.
“Welcome to Chelsea, Xabi!” the club said in a statement.
