Estevao Willian’s stoppage-time strike sealed Chelsea’s 2–1 win over Liverpool, handing the champions their third straight defeat.
Brazilian teenager Estevao Willian scored a dramatic 95th-minute winner as Chelsea beat Premier League champions Liverpool 2–1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Moises Caicedo fired the Blues ahead in the 14th minute with a superb long-range strike, before Cody Gakpo levelled for Liverpool just after the hour mark, turning in Alexander Isak’s touch. Despite late chances for both sides, the hosts found their breakthrough deep into stoppage time when Estevao slid in to convert Marc Cucurella’s cross, sealing Chelsea’s third league win of the season.
The victory, celebrated wildly by Enzo Maresca’s side, leaves Arsenal top of the table—one point above Liverpool, who have now suffered three consecutive defeats.
Chelsea lost defenders Josh Acheampong and Benoit Badiashile to injury, but Caicedo’s commanding midfield display earned him player of the match with an 8.05 rating.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot admitted his side had endured “fine margins not in our favour,” as the Reds’ late-goal struggles continued.
