Barcelona reportedly had the chance to sign RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande before deciding against pursuing the highly rated teenager, according to Barça Universal.
Sporting director Deco admired the Ivorian attacker, but financial concerns and the club’s attacking priorities led Hansi Flick’s side to focus on Anthony Gordon instead, ending talks with Diomande’s representatives earlier this summer.
Real Madrid have since emerged as leading contenders after their initial €100 million bid was rejected by RB Leipzig.
