Bellingham’s double ends Norway’s Cinderella run at World Cup

England battled past Norway 2-1 in extra time to book a World Cup semifinal spot.

Jude Bellingham struck twice — an equalizer before halftime and a decisive extra-time winner — to send England through, according to The Korea Times.

Norway’s Andreas Schjelderup had given the underdogs the lead with a deflected strike off the post, silencing a crowd that included Mick Jagger and David Beckham.

Erling Haaland, the tournament’s talisman with seven goals coming in, was held scoreless and was subbed off late.

A VAR review also chalked off a Norway goal for a Haaland foul in the box. England now await the winner of Argentina-Switzerland for a place in the final, chasing their first title since 1966.
