Chelsea have no intention of selling versatile teenage defender Josh Acheampong this summer despite persistent transfer interest from Crystal Palace, Liverpool, and Newcastle United.
Chelsea are not considering selling academy graduate Josh Acheampong this summer, despite a lack of consistent game time.
Crystal Palace previously targeted the 19-year-old in January as a replacement for Marc Guehi and remain interested.
Liverpool and Newcastle have also monitored the ball-playing defender, who is capable of playing at right-back or centre-back. Internally, there is no desire at Stamford Bridge for a sale.
The teenager committed his long-term future to the Blues in December 2024, signing a contract that runs until 2029.
While he has only started seven Premier League matches this season, he remains a key part of Chelsea’s cup rotations.
Acheampong is expected to feature in the upcoming FA Cup quarter-final against Port Vale on April 4, as the club continues to value his high potential.
