Chelsea have no intention of selling versatile teenage defender Josh Acheampong this summer despite persistent transfer interest from Crystal Palace, Liverpool, and Newcastle United.
​Chelsea are not considering selling academy graduate Josh Acheampong this summer, despite a lack of consistent game time.
Crystal Palace previously targeted the 19-year-old in January as a replacement for Marc Guehi and remain interested.
Liverpool and Newcastle have also monitored the ball-playing defender, who is capable of playing at right-back or centre-back. Internally, there is no desire at Stamford Bridge for a sale.
​The teenager committed his long-term future to the Blues in December 2024, signing a contract that runs until 2029.
While he has only started seven Premier League matches this season, he remains a key part of Chelsea’s cup rotations.
Acheampong is expected to feature in the upcoming FA Cup quarter-final against Port Vale on April 4, as the club continues to value his high potential.
