FIFA has proposed expanding its football development funding to more than $10 billion through a new commercial structure, subject to approval from its Member Associations.
FIFA has unveiled plans to increase football development funding to more than $10 billion, pending approval from its 211 Member Associations.
According to FIFA, the proposal includes raising Forward Programme funding from $8 million to $20 million per association for the 2027-2030 cycle, alongside an optional $20 million in immediate project funding through the new FIFA Fast Forward Programme.
The governing body also plans to establish FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE), a wholly FIFA-owned commercial subsidiary that would manage broadcast, sponsorship, ticketing and licensing operations while FIFA retains full control over governance, competitions and regulations.
The proposal will require majority backing from Member Associations and approval from the FIFA Council before implementation.
