Mick McDermott, a Belfast native, shares his extraordinary 30-year coaching odyssey. “To go from Belfast… to Ghana and back to Rhode Island is an interesting story,” he states. Now Ghana’s performance co-ordinator at the World Cup, he’s returned to Rhode Island, where his football journey ignited. It marks his second World Cup role with head coach Carlos Queiroz.
