Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes Chelsea could replace Enzo Fernandez if the midfielder decides to join Real Madrid.
Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes the Blues should not stand in Enzo Fernandez’s way if the Argentine midfielder pushes for a move to Real Madrid.
While stressing that he would prefer Fernandez to stay at Stamford Bridge, Hasselbaink insisted the club should maximise any transfer fee before reinvesting in another midfielder.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Hasselbaink said there are plenty of quality midfielders available across world football.
He argued that if Fernandez makes it clear he wants to join Real Madrid, Chelsea should secure the highest possible fee and sign a replacement for a lower cost, pointing to the depth of talent currently available in the position.
