Lamine Yamal states Barcelona’s season objectives amid talks of awards

Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal emphasized his desire for team titles over individual honors like the Ballon d’Or during the Mundo Deportivo Grand Gala, where he was celebrated for his record-breaking 2025 campaign.

Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal has reaffirmed his commitment to the club’s trophy ambitions after being honored at the Mundo Deportivo Grand Gala.

The 18-year-old winger, who finished the 2025 calendar year with 21 goals and 20 assists, emphasized that team success outweighs individual accolades as Barcelona enters a pivotal season phase.

He currently leads a squad sitting top of La Liga with 55 points, narrowly ahead of Real Madrid.

Addressing the Champions League, Yamal remains focused on redemption following last season’s heartbreaking 7-6 aggregate semi-final defeat to Inter Milan.

Despite finishing as the 2025 Ballon d’Or runner-up behind Ousmane Dembélé, the La Masia graduate maintains that winning titles with Barcelona and the Spanish national team remains his primary focus.

He stated, “I just want to enjoy myself and win with Barça and the national team.”
