The 29-year-old, fresh off captaining Belgium to the World Cup quarter-finals, has signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford.
Tielemans becomes United’s third summer arrival, following Andrey Santos from Chelsea and goalkeeper Karl Darlow from Leeds. He joined Villa in 2023 on a free transfer from Leicester and played a key role in their Europa League triumph and Champions League qualification last season.
United’s director of football, Jason Wilcox, described Tielemans as one of the Premier League’s standout midfielders in recent years, praising both his technical quality and mentality.
