Manchester United are quietly rebuilding behind the scenes. According to The Athletic, Michael Carrick wants to strengthen his coaching staff before the new season — and a specialist set-piece coach is high on the agenda.
One name being discussed is Tottenham’s Andreas Georgson, who previously impressed during a spell at Old Trafford. Carrick recently signed a new deal until 2028, while his entire backroom staff also secured two-year extensions.
With Steve Holland, Jonathan Woodgate and Jonny Evans already in place, United are clearly pushing for long-term stability as Carrick shapes the club in his own image ahead of a massive new campaign.
