Major League Soccer has launched an investigation into Inter Miami over alleged tampering following the club’s signing of former Manchester United midfielder Casemiro.
According to the BBC, the 34-year-old Brazil international joined Inter Miami on a deal running until the end of the 2027 MLS season, with an option to extend until June 2029.
Shortly after confirming the transfer, MLS announced it was reviewing allegations linked to Casemiro’s discovery rights.
The league said it is gathering relevant information before commenting further. LA Galaxy, who previously held Casemiro’s discovery rights, confirmed they had reached a settlement with Inter Miami, with details to be disclosed once the investigation is concluded.
