Mudryk cleared for Chelsea return after doping ban overturned

Mykhailo Mudryk is free to play for Chelsea again and is traveling to Hong Kong after successfully appealing a doping ban.

Mykhailo Mudryk can immediately resume playing for Chelsea after the Court of Arbitration for Sport partially upheld his appeal against a four-year doping ban.

According to The Telegraph, the Ukraine winger is already en route to Hong Kong to join his teammates on their pre-season tour, ending a 20-month absence from the pitch.

The Football Association confirmed the resolution following an agreement with the World Anti-Doping Agency.

Adjustments to WADA’s technical documents meant that if Mudryk’s sample were collected today under updated standards, the concentration of meldonium would not have triggered an anti-doping violation.
