Former England winger Raheem Sterling has reportedly been arrested following a road traffic collision involving his Lamborghini on the M3 in Hampshire.
According to reports, the 31-year-old is being investigated on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs, possession of a Class C substance, dangerous driving and failing to provide a specimen. No injuries were reported and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Sterling, who currently plays for Dutch side Feyenoord, has since been released on bail while police enquiries continue.
The incident has sparked fresh headlines around the former Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal star, with authorities stressing that investigations remain ongoing and no charges have been confirmed at this stage.
