Real Madrid aren’t coming for Enzo Fernandez — and they want everyone to know it.
The Spanish giants issued an official statement on Thursday, flatly denying any interest in the Chelsea midfielder after days of swirling transfer rumours.
“The club wishes to state that it has not made any effort, either direct or indirect, to sign the aforementioned player and, likewise, has no intention of undertaking such an operation,” the club said.
Madrid went further, citing their “excellent institutional relationship” with Chelsea and describing the speculation as “unfounded and not corresponding to reality.”
Tribuna reports the statement also praised Fernandez as “a great footballer whose career and quality are widely known.”
