Nottingham Forest have dismissed Sean Dyche after just four months, marking the third managerial casualty under owner Evangelos Marinakis this season.
Nottingham Forest have sacked Sean Dyche following a goalless draw against Wolves. Despite guiding the club three points clear of relegation and into a Europa League play-off, owner Evangelos Marinakis dismissed his third manager of the season via a brief midnight statement.
Former Wolves boss Vitor Pereira is reportedly the frontrunner to take over before next week’s European clash against Fenerbahce.
Dyche remained pragmatic about the decision, reflecting on the modern game’s high expectations.
He said: “If the owner wants to make a change, then that’s up to him. That’s the way football is now, that’s just the reality of it.
But I’m not questioning the owner here. He’s been absolutely fair with me from the beginning to the end.”
