New York City has given Thierry Henry something even his Champions League medals could not: a street named after him in Manhattan.

The intersection of 50th Street and Sixth Avenue — just steps from Rockefeller Center in the heart of midtown — was temporarily co-named “Thierry Henry Way” in honour of the French football icon, unveiled in June 2026 ahead of the FIFA World Cup. The tribute celebrates Henry’s lasting impact on Major League Soccer and his celebrated spell with the New York Red Bulls. The co-naming will remain in place through November 2026.
