Tottenham reach £100m agreement for Newcastle’s Tonali

Tottenham have agreed a club-record £100 million deal to sign Sandro Tonali from Newcastle, smashing their transfer record for the second time in days.

SPURS AGREE CLUB-RECORD £100m DEAL FOR TONALI

Tottenham Hotspur have struck a club-record deal worth up to £100 million to sign Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali, according to Sporting Tribune and multiple UK outlets. The agreement covers an initial £92.5 million, with a further £7.5 million in performance add-ons.

The Italy international is set to sign a six-year deal and become one of Spurs’ top earners as new boss Roberto De Zerbi presses on with his squad rebuild. Tonali joined Newcastle from AC Milan in 2023 and thrived on Tyneside after returning from a betting-related suspension.

The move is Tottenham’s biggest-ever signing, arriving just days after their record £85 million deal for West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes.
