US star injured in World Cup exit
US forward Christian Pulisic suffered a leg fracture during the 4-1 World Cup last-16 defeat to Belgium. The 27-year-old sustained a microfracture and bone bruise in his right leg after attempting a shot, kicking Belgium midfielder Youri Tielemans. Pulisic was substituted in the 59th minute, just after Belgium’s third goal in Seattle. AC Milan and US Soccer will collaborate on his recovery plan, sidelining him for several weeks.
