Robin van Persie’s managerial honeymoon is over.
Feyenoord have axed the former Arsenal and Manchester United striker after just 16 months, per BBC Sport, despite a second-place Eredivisie finish and Champions League qualification. New technical director Devy Rigaux cited “a declining trend in terms of points total” as the deciding factor. Van Persie’s exit comes just two weeks after new management arrived at the Rotterdam club.
