The 2026-27 men’s football season kicks off with a major change! The September international break now stretches for three weeks, eliminating the traditional October window. FIFA previously used five two-week breaks (March, June, September, November), but this shift consolidates fixtures. Nations will play four matches in the extended September slot instead of two.
