Wolves mourn legend Phil Parkes
Goalkeeper Lofty dies at 79
Wolves are mourning the death of legendary goalkeeper Phil Parkes at 79. Parkes dedicated 18 years to the club, making 382 appearances and later joining their hall of fame. Former teammate John Richards remembered him as “a big gentle giant” with “a big heart,” part of the Wolves family for 70 years. Parkes helped Wolves reach the 1972 Uefa Cup final.
