Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti is set to submit a 55-man preliminary World Cup squad list on Monday, which includes star forward Neymar. According to a Yahoo Sports report, the 34-year-old earns his first national call-up since October 2023, following a season at Santos where he recorded five goals in 12 matches.
However, Neymar’s inclusion remains divisive. While he brings veteran experience, critics point to a recent training ground “fight with Robinho Jr” and his frequent resting periods as “arguments to those who are against the forward’s call-up.” The report also confirms that Chelsea’s Estêvão made the list, while Éder Militão and Rodrygo are “certain absences” from the final roster.
