Como agree deal with Real Madrid to sign Nico Paz permanently

Como have struck a permanent agreement with Real Madrid to sign Nico Paz for around €60 million, with Cesc Fabregas hailing the Argentine as central to his project.

Real Madrid chose not to trigger their buy-back clause after Paz made clear he wanted to stay at Como rather than join Jose Mourinho’s side amid doubts over playing time, Fabrizio Romano reports via Tribuna.

Madrid have, however, inserted a fresh buy-back clause to retain future control. Fabregas pushed hard for the deal, with Paz — part of Argentina’s World Cup squad — having helped Como reach the Champions League last season.
