JJ Gabriel has remained upbeat despite missing out on his Manchester United senior debut in the club’s 5-0 pre-season win over Rosenborg.
Manchester United teenager JJ Gabriel has hinted he is staying focused after being an unused substitute in Friday’s 5-0 pre-season victory over Rosenborg.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the 15-year-old shared a photo of his matchday kit on Instagram with the caption “patience” after being included in Michael Carrick’s 25-man squad for the trip to Trondheim.
Gabriel earned widespread attention after scoring 29 goals for United’s Under-18s last season and is regarded as one of the club’s brightest academy prospects.
The report adds that the forward could feature in upcoming pre-season fixtures as several senior players remain unavailable following the World Cup, with United’s next friendly scheduled against Atletico Madrid on August 1.
