Personal terms were not a issue for weeks yet we took our sweet time. Mikel wanted Rogers. They met face to face. Villa were angered with the way we handled informal talks amid a gap in valuation. Chelsea swooped in, we didnt match it.

Personal view: £117m is a crazy amount of money for Morgan Rogers. But it’s still a blow to Arsenal, and to Mikel Arteta in particular. He’s wanted Rogers for a long time. His interest massively pre-dates this summer.
