Tottenham face one of the most important matches in their history tomorrow afternoon – but their captain Cristian Romero won’t even be in the country.
Instead he’s gone to Argentina to watch his boyhood club Belgrano face River Plate and continue his rehab from injury there ahead of the World Cup.
It is an insult to his Tottenham team-mates and everyone who supports the club. Romero might wear an armband – but he is not a captain.
Tottenham need to sell him this summer, writes @jaydmharris.
