Morgan Rogers has disclosed that close friend Cole Palmer played a major role in his decision to join Chelsea, revealing the England midfielder constantly called and texted him before the transfer was completed.
The pair first met in England’s youth teams before becoming teammates at Manchester City, where they developed a strong friendship.
Rogers said he and Palmer had spoken for a long time about playing together again, adding that sharing a dressing room with one of his best friends made the move even more special.
Chelsea recently completed Rogers’ transfer from Aston Villa on a long-term contract, reuniting the two England internationals at Stamford Bridge ahead of the new season.
