Lamine Yamal amused Spain fans by displaying a boxing-themed sign referencing Leandro Paredes and Gavi during the team’s World Cup victory parade.
According to Asianet Newsable, Spain’s World Cup celebrations in Madrid featured a light-hearted moment when Lamine Yamal held up a fan-made sign reading, “Velada del Año VII: Paredes vs Gavi.”
The message referenced Ibai Llanos’ celebrity boxing event and joked about the heated clash between Argentina’s Leandro Paredes and Gavi after the World Cup final.
Spain secured the title through Ferran Torres’ extra-time winner in a 1-0 victory, while Argentina’s Enzo Fernández was sent off after receiving two yellow cards.
FIFA has since opened disciplinary proceedings into Argentina’s post-match conduct, with Fernández later thanking Argentina supporters for backing the team throughout the tournament.
